But first… šŸŖā™”

This week we signed our first sponsor for Female Founder World Summit 2025 and secured my dream venue: 35,000 square feet in downtown Manhattan with views of the Brooklyn Bridge. Summit is the end of year celebration for Business Besties all over the world—you flew in from Australia, Spain, London, and across the United States last year and we sold out of all 750 spaces. This year we’re rethinking the layout so no one misses out on a ticket, and the plan is to fit 1,000 of us in the one room! To be safe, make sure you’re on the waitlist to find out immediately when tickets drop.

When I think about where we started three years ago, it honestly feels unbelievable that my original vision of creating a global business media brand that can compete with the legacy players who are entirely built for men is actually coming true. After what I’ve seen you do with our resources and content, I believe Female Founder World is becoming the network for the new 1%. We’re going to keep digging in find you the voices, ideas, and tools that will help you make, manage, and multiply your money. There is so much more coming and I can’t wait to show you.

Follow along on TikTok where I’m showing the bts of building a network for the new 1% (that’s you).

On the show this week: What no one’s saying about these female founder TikTok takedowns

For all of us building our businesses in public, the viral TikTok takedown of OddMuse founder Aimee Smale by creator @plzdontbuythat feels like our worst nightmare. Chelsea Kramer, founder of Parke, has been dealing with something similar. There have been hundreds of hot takes published about these dramas over the weekend, but I think there’s a really key POV that’s missing from this story, and it’s ours. Listen to today’s episode of Female Founder World for the background and my take. Hit reply to let me know what you think.

CREATINE IS BOOMING: Creatine is becoming a $4 billion market over the next five years, and a big opportunity for Business Besties in the wellness space. The supplement was originally big with gym bros, but over the past two years was picked up by brands that target women, like Arrae, Naked Harvest, and Alani Nu. The mainstreaming of creatine means the estimated market size is expected to grow from an estimated $1.11 billion in 2024 to over $4 billion by 2030.

AI UPDATES: Google made 100 AI-related announcements at its annual developer conference this month, and there are a few you really need to know about. The first is that they’re overhauling Google Search with AI to make a more conversational Search experience. We don’t know what this means for your business and SEO yet, but we dp know it’s going to change. They’ve also integrated Gemini (Google’s ChatGPT competitor) with Chrome browsers, and have made some bigs steps towards creating a universal AI assistant (Google calls this Project Astra) by tailoring responses in Gemini based on your personal Google data (imagine asking your AI assistant to find a long-lost email for example). OpenAI also announced a new shopping integration, where users can find, compare, and purchase products right through their ChatGPT search. There are also new reports that ChatGPT’s working on a Shopify integration, too, so users will be able to check out in a single flow.

MADE IN THE USA: Search interest for ā€œMade in USAā€ is way up since Trump’s tariff hikes on Chinese imports hit. Amazon searches for the phrase are up 5x and brands are responding by pushing ā€œMade in the USAā€ messaging. The phrase was added to over 151,000 Amazon listings and racking up an estimated $5.1 billion in sales. If your brand is locally made, now’s the time to tell everyone.

SEXUAL WELLNESS: Dame, founder Alexandra Fine’s sexual wellness trailblazer has made its second acquisition. Chakrubs, founded by Vanessa Cuccia, will be joining Dame’s portfolio, and Vanessa will be staying on as Brand Director.

ALIX EARLE: Alix Earle reportedly makes $450,000 per Instagram story ad… if you’re looking for a sign to start building your personal brand let it be this.

AWAY: Away is launching their first children’s luggage line (and the creative is so cute).

FOOD AND BEV: BEHAVE is rolling out across Sprouts. Founder Mayssa shared the story on how she made it happen and it’s a good one.

Watch now: ā€œYou’re too focused on contentā€ and other reasons your business isn’t growing

This episode has become one of the most popular ever on Female Founder World—and it’s only been live a week. I love seeing you share it, tysm for the support ā™”.

My guest is Anaita Sarkar, who started her first ecommerce brand in 2018. But when she realized how much plastic waste it was producing, she knew that problem was the bigger opportunity. This led to Hero Packaging, a zero-waste mailer company that’s now sold over 20 million compostable mailers to more than 70,000 customers globally.

In this episode, Anaita breaks down: The waitlist strategy that got her thousands of early orders; what most founders are missing by focusing too much on content; how small businesses are reacting to today’s economic uncertainty; and her playbook for building a product that solves a real problem.

In the Business Bestie group chat

Eniye Okah, congratulations!! Eniye is a Business Bestie who recently launched a UK-based SPF brand for Gen Z called Beame, and landed a feature in Beauty Independent. She launched with a Kickstarter campaign that hit its fundraising target in 34 hours and then raised over $6,000. L’OrĆ©al Paris also backed the brand through its Women in Tech and Beauty Forward Fund, and Beame raised about $13,000 from the Adobe Express Manifesto competition. Go and show your support for Beame here. This community is so powerful and I know we can help Eniye get more of the attention she deserves.
