but first, we’ve been working on something huge:

Some brands seem to come out of nowhere. You’ve never heard about them, then suddenly they’re dominating your feeds.

How?

They all know one thing: the old DTC digital marketing blueprint of the 2010s is dead. Gone. Over. It’s the 2020s, bestie, and we’re using tactics your friend with an MBA never learned about.

Hear all about these new moves and learn how to become a hype-building machine with Female Founder World’s free six-part LAUNCH LAB 🚀 workshop series for founders and consumer brand marketers, presented by TikTok.

Join the video calls every Tuesday for six weeks (12 September-17 October) to learn directly from a select lineup of experts and operators building the buzziest brands right now.

Like we said, the entire series is totally free. But, space is limited and we will hit capacity.

You know what to do.👇

CREATORS: Influencers now need to make sure kids under 16 are paid if they appear in at least 30% of a piece of sponsored content—even if it’s a parent/child relationship. If you’re hiring parenting influencers, get across the new law.

ACQUIRED: Parade, the cool Gen-Z underwear brand, has been acquired by privately-owned Ariela & Associates International. Details about the deal aren’t public, but Parade was last valued at $200M in August 2022. Business Insider’s saying that founder Cami Téllez feels like she’s being pushed out by new management. In a statement she said, “While I won’t be with Parade in its next chapter, I only turned 26 yesterday—this is the first inning of my story. Stay tuned. My priority in this deal was finding a home for this incredible, generation-defining brand and the team behind it.”

MONEY: Yikes, new research found that 79% of seed funding for diverse founders goes to white women. The details are in a new report from BBG Ventures.

OFFICE CULTURE: Zoom, the unofficial symbol of remote work, is now requiring employees to come back to the office at least two days a week.

BEAUTY: Luxury e-tailer Farfetch is shutting down its beauty division by the end of the month. It sounds like the beauty store never quite took off and struggled to attract customers. Meanwhile Shen Beauty, a brick-and-mortar beauty space in New York, will be pivoting to online only.
